EXODUS - DEJA VU
Visioncy is proud to introduce its ongoing non-profit project – Exodus Déjà-Vu – presenting the works of six photojournalists and photographers who have closely followed and captured the perilous journey of refugees around the world.
The photographs of Coskun Aral (TUR), Issa Touma (SY), Roland Neveu (FR), Sergey Ponomarev (RU), Rahman Roslan (MY) and Nilüfer Demir (TUR) are thus exhibited with the desire to open up discussions and reflections on the current refugees’ crisis.
Refugee crisis has become a global issue. We are witnessing a growing number of refugees, of feelings of distress, anxiety, and miscomprehension around the world.
Exodus Déjà-Vu thus aims to offer a greater understanding on the current situation. Indeed, the purpose of this project is to create constructive dialogues based on photographs representing the serious and hard reality that millions of people are experiencing. The name of our project, ‘Déjà-Vu’, refers to the dreadful fact that this situation is not a new one and has been repeating itself through time.
The project encompasses the realization of an exhibition, the publication of a book, the implementation of talks and conferences between members of the public and special guests, and the creation of educative workshops. Following the success that the project received in Kuala Lumpur, we are now aiming to make the project travels internationally. You can find more information by visiting our website here.
