Today, on the occasion of Ara Guler's 94th birthday, we have to take a moment to remember and pay homage to the life of Ara Güler, the photographer, the legend and a great friend.
Born in Istanbul on 16th August 1928, Ara Guler is recognized as one of the legends of photojournalism, and earned an international reputation throughout his outstanding career. As a photojournalist, Ara Güler was most interested in the capacity of photographs to depict reality, history, happiness and suffering.
Driven by his passion for his native land, his photographs are infused with beauty and poignancy and will always remain as living memories of a time that has passed by for future generations.
Remenbering our five years productivce collaboration, inspiring friendship and your contribution to photography for eternity.

Emptiness - An urban memory Catalogue was edited and published by the agency Visioncy.
Each of the photographs is accompanied by the story behind the picture told through the words of the entrants, offering a highly personal perspective on this unprecedented time.
The one-of-a-kind exhibition Emptiness: an urban memory is completely virtual inviting visitors from the 29th of September to 29th of November 2021 to see forty breath-taking photographs. These forty photographs are taken of twenty cities from 4 different continents during the Covid-19 pandemic.The exhibition Emptiness: an urban memory also features twenty photographs of photojournalist Tayfun Coskun about life in New York City was the epicentre of the pandemic in USA. This project is creating a unique record of our shared and individual experiences during this extraordinary period of history. Each of the photographs is accompanied by the story behind the picture told through the words of the entrants, offering a highly personal perspective on this unprecedented time.

A photography exhibition focusing on the COVID-19

A photography exhibition focusing on the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on cities and urban life will open online on Wednesday.
The virtual exhibition, Emptiness: An Urban Memory, features 40 photos taken worldwide between March and April last year.
"The photographs show the emptiness of different cities from Asia, Africa, America, and Europe around March and April 2020. Twenty of these photographs focus on Covid-epicentre New York City. A choice was made by the curator Patrice Vallette and director of Visioncy agency with Anadolu Agency photojournalist Tayfun Coskun because of its worldwide known suffering during the pandemic. Among the selection, there are 20 photographs of New York City snapped by Anadolu Agency photojournalist Coskun," a statement by the Visioncy agency read.
